Overfishing: To continuously catch more fish than the ecosystem can naturally produce.
Overfishing originated in Northern Europe in about the 18th century onwards, the lost of species as well as entire ecosystems became a tragedy. Fisheries mismanagement could be seen as the main cause to this disaster. After my group and I was faced with this affliction of the fish population and ecosystem being demolished we felt all obligation to stop the urge for overfishing. |
